Construction and engineering

Your company profile, handed over in one tap

Contractors, developers and consultants meet the people who award work in site cabins, pre-bid meetings and expo halls. A Nexus card puts your contact, your company profile PDF and your best projects on their phone before the conversation ends. No app, no brochure to carry, and it survives the site.

Where paper cards fall short

  1. Paper doesn't survive the site

Cards get bent in a hi-vis pocket, soaked on a wet slab or left in the cabin. The client's QS walks away with a smudged number, or nothing at all.

  2. The card says who you are, not what you've built

Main contractors and developers win work on track record. A card can't show the tower you topped out last year or carry the company profile the tender team asked for.

  3. Project teams change faster than print runs

Project managers move between sites, engineers get promoted, site offices close. Boxes of cards with old titles and old mobile numbers end up in the skip.

How Nexus helps

  • Company profile and capability statement on tap

Attach your company profile, HSE policy or prequalification pack as PDFs. The procurement manager opens them on the spot instead of waiting for an email with attachments too big to send.

  • Project portfolio in image carousels

Show completed projects as carousels: structure, fit-out, handover. Add a site walkthrough or drone video so a developer sees the quality of your work, not just your logo.

  • Built for rough handling

Brushed metal cards are laser-engraved, so there's no print to wear off, and they weigh more than three times as much as PVC. Every card also carries a QR code as a backup.

  • One link through every promotion and transfer

Change a title, phone number or site address in the dashboard and every card already handed out shows the new details. If someone leaves, re-point the card to their replacement.

  • Leads from site visits and trade shows

With Exchange, a subcontractor, supplier or client sends their details back to you in one tap. When a contractor hands you a paper card instead, photograph it and it becomes a contact, Arabic and English cards included. Export to CSV or sync to HubSpot, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Zoho CRM, Pipedrive or monday.com so the estimating team can follow up.

  • Site visits booked from your profile

Add a Booking card for Calendly, Cal.com, Microsoft Bookings, Google appointment schedules or another tool you use. A client or consultant picks a slot for a site visit or a pre-bid meeting from your profile instead of trading emails.

A day with Nexus

A day in the life of a project manager

  1. 7:30

    Site walk with the client

The developer's representative wants a contact for the façade package. You tap your card on her phone in the car park. She saves your contact without taking off her gloves and books a site visit for next week from your Booking card.

  2. 11:00

    Pre-bid meeting

The consultant asks for your prequalification documents. They're already attached to your profile, so he opens the company profile and HSE policy before the meeting ends.

  3. 15:00

    Trade show floor

At a big expo such as The Big 5 in Dubai, suppliers and potential partners tap your card at the stand and send their details back with Exchange. A steel fabricator hands over a paper card in Arabic and English; you photograph it and it's in your contacts list too.

  4. 18:00

    Back in the site office

You see how many people viewed your profile and opened the company profile PDF, export the day's new contacts and pass them to the estimating team.

What you get

For the whole company

One card system for head office and every site

On Teams, set up your company template with locked branding, logo and company profile PDF once. Organise people by department or project, import the roster from a spreadsheet and keep a pool of spare cards. When a site engineer joins, assign a card from the pool. When a project ends or someone leaves, reassign or block the card in seconds, and the contacts they collected stay with the company.

Questions people ask

Will an NFC card survive a construction site?
Metal cards are brushed and laser-engraved, so there's no ink to rub off, and they're far stiffer than paper. PVC cards are printed edge to edge and handle everyday wear well. If the chip is ever damaged, the QR code still opens your profile. See card materials.
Can I scan the paper cards contractors give me?
Yes, on every plan. Photograph a paper card and it becomes a contact, Arabic and English cards included, so subcontractor and supplier details don't stay in the cabin. Scanning uses credits, and every plan includes some each month.
Do the people I meet need an app?
No. Tapping the card on any modern iPhone or Android phone opens your profile in the browser. Older phones scan the QR code on the card.
We have staff across several sites and countries. Can we manage them centrally?
Yes. The Teams plan gives you departments, managers, a card pool and roster import, so head office can issue, reassign and block cards for every site. Profiles can be in English and Arabic for projects in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Oman.
What happens when a project manager leaves?
Block their card or re-point it to their replacement. The contacts they collected stay in the company's list, so client relationships don't leave with them.
