Looking after it

Metal is tough, but the brushed finish can pick up scratches from keys and coins, so keep it in a wallet or card holder. Wipe away fingerprints with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners on the finish. If a card is lost, switch it off in your dashboard and it stops opening your profile straight away.

Can I put my logo on a metal business card?
Yes. Your name and logo are laser-engraved through the brushed finish. Engraving is a single tone, so logos work best as a clean, one-colour mark. We send a proof for your approval before production.
Does NFC work on a metal card?
Yes. Every metal card carries an NFC chip and a QR code, like our PVC and wood cards. A tap on any modern iPhone or Android phone opens your profile in the browser, with no app to install.
Will a metal card work if the phone has a case on?
Most phone cases are thin enough for NFC to read through. Very thick cases, or cases with metal plates or magnets, can get in the way. If a tap doesn't work, the QR code on the back opens the same profile. Ask us if you have a specific setup in mind.
How heavy is a metal business card?
About 18 g, which is more than three times the weight of a PVC card. It's 0.8 mm thick, so it still fits in a wallet or card holder.
