Smart business cards for UK teams
Rolling out business cards to a team usually means reprints, lost boxes and contacts that leave with people. Here is how a UK team can run smart cards from one place instead.

Nexus Teams gives everyone in your company the same branded smart business card and profile, managed from one dashboard. Cards cost from £19.99 including VAT and arrive in 3–5 working days; the Teams plan is about £4.50 per person a month billed yearly (about £6 monthly), and you can start with a free profile to see it working first.
This playbook walks through what a rollout looks like, from the first template to the day someone leaves.
011. Set the company template
Start with how every profile should look. The company template holds your logo, colours, fonts and the links everyone shares, such as your website, booking page or careers page. You decide which fields people can edit themselves and which stay locked, so a new starter can add their own photo and number but can’t change the brand.
022. Invite people and set who manages what
Add people one by one or import a roster. Group them into departments and give department managers the rights they need: editing profiles in their team, approving changes or handing out cards. Changes to areas you mark for approval wait for sign-off before they go live.
033. Order cards into a pool
Company orders go straight into your card pool. From there you assign cards to people, reassign them when roles change, and keep a history of who had which card. A mix is common: PVC for most of the team, and metal cards for directors and client-facing roles.
| Card | Price per card (incl. VAT) |
|---|---|
| PVC | £19.99 |
| Wood | £25.99 |
| Metal | £46.99 |
044. Capture contacts for the company
When someone taps a card, they can save the contact and send their details back. Those contacts belong to the company account as well as the person who collected them, and they can sync to Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Zoho, Pipedrive or monday.com, or go anywhere through webhooks, Zapier or Make.
Paper business cards handed over at events can be scanned into contacts too, using AI credits bought separately.
055. When someone leaves
- 1
Offboard in one step
Their card goes back into the pool, ready for the next person.
- 2
Keep the link working
Their company profile can forward to a colleague or show a simple “no longer here” page.
- 3
Keep the contacts
Everything they collected stays with the company.
06Data and UK GDPR
Profiles set no tracking cookies and we don’t store visitors’ IP addresses for analytics. Contact details are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, admins can require two-factor sign-in, and important actions are kept in an audit log. Companies get a data processing agreement; our UK GDPR guide covers the questions procurement usually asks.
